Back in 2010, just after my first trip to Mongolia, I started blogging on Tumblr. I had been writing for the Giant Robot Blog for a couple of years, but as an old school zine maker, I harbored a somewhat irrational distrust and disdain for blogs/bloggers/blogging. Looking back on the Tumblr posts, I can see how much I relied on the blog to sort through all the big feelings of sorting through so many new experiences, reinventing myself as a wife and mother, and reconnecting with writing. It's an 18-page time capsule now. I'm going to spruce it up with some text from stories I wrote for people who let those websites fade away, but ultimately, it'll be an archive. The blog for this website will hopefully be my new outlet for a return to regular writing.
